Setting the Record Straight

I think an apology is in order to Hank (Lord Vise) for any tarnishing and/or slander that has been inflicted upon his good name and character in (or in result of) the previous post. It was not my intention to villanize him, (and I knew he was joking when he said he would make me coon skin cap to wear to his next fight). My sister Nessa also feels real bad for comparing him to the poacher Mcleech from Rescuers Down Under:
In fact, since reading the “anonymous” epistle he left, she texted me, “Hahaha oh my gosh! I’m turning into a Hank fan!” And, as he eloquently explained in his comment, the different ways we might see some issues, (maybe hunting isn’t one of them after all), it doesn’t make me like him any less either. (The UFC/MMA debate has brought me lots of good teasing among NorthStar employees. I get more invitations to go to UFC parties from guys than I ever would have before. I might be one of the most popular people to invite to a UFC get together. And I believe I have Hank to thank for that. Had we not had our differing opinions on the matter, I would never have emailed him the paper I wrote, and it never would have become such a public item of discussion). Because of all the focus on a few differences he and I may have, I feel moved to list some items of commonality between Hank and me, because we’ve got lots in common where it really counts.
  • We both love Jesus.
  • We are both loyal supporters of NorthStar Alarm Services.
  • We have good taste in people. (We both really like my husband Jason, and we both really like his wife Jenny).
  • We both love karaoke.
  • We both loved, Where the Red Fern Grows, as kids. (I assume that he also loved Summer of the Monkeys.)
  • We both love the outdoors. (Some people may take me for a prissy girly girl but I spent 5 solid weeks camping on the Oregon Coast and in Salmon, Idaho when I was 18 with BYU-Idaho Discovery program. Not to mention spending 18 months in third-world Paraguay. I’m not afraid to rough it.)
  • We both love raspberry/peach cobbler.
  • Both of us are pretty tough.
  • Neither of us has been in a fist fight without an official present.

I think there is still a lot of untapped potential in this friendship. I owe you a can of sardines Hank.

mer, you make me laugh! Oh and about the Backpack. It's a Kelty FC 3.0, you can buy it at Babies R Us, REI, Cabellas, everywhere has them. they run about $200, but if you wait to get a 20% of one item from babies r us you can get it for $160. We really like it. my sister has the same one and loves it too.
